Card game about exploding kittens overtakes Ouya's Kickstarter record

I am an Uno card game fan and a lover of cats; but when it comes to being business-savy, I wonder about the fools that backed a simple game with $8.7 million.

This isn't business-sense but it is a marketing explosion!

Did you consider supporting this Kickstarter project?

3 techniques for networking at big events - LinkedIn, LinkedIn, LinkedIn

Integrated LinkedIn into your strategy:

  1. Have a networking goal; use LinkedIn to look-up people before-during event when possible.
  2. Approach total strangers; ask them if you can send a LinkedIn request
  3. Know the challenge; that 'challenge' dialogue can foster future LinkedIn dialogue
I like this article's parting words of wisdom:
  • Be interested, not interesting
  • Be the one to start the conversation, walking up to groups and introducing yourself
  • Have one or two "go-to" questions that you like to ask; like
"What brought you to this event?
  • Always have lots of business cards and ask for cards if they are not offered; if your contact is out of cards, write the information down.
  • Connect with those you met on LinkedIn within 24 hours and request a follow up meeting to begin building a long-term relationship

What are your networking tips and challenges?

Love that Google Apps stuff?

Do you love Google?

Yes, I do.

I like competition.  It is great for the consumer.  So, I love Google for being a competitor to the MS suite.  Thanks to this competition, we are seeing outstanding tools at reasonable prices (most are free).  And important to me, they are generally easier to use than the MS suite.

Google Apps are outstanding tools for any individual or business to manage their digital assets - email, web, blog, vlog, images, backups, etc.

What is your favorite Google App besides Gmail or Search?  Calendar and Drive are in my heart.

And tech fans, I authored this image in PicMonkey - free.

And, - a Google Site tool with nice integration to other Google tools.
