Asheville petition to restrict chain stores gains momentum

Yes!

Restrict chain stores in charming downtown Asheville, NC!
“It is a fact that large corporate chain stores take their profits out of the community, while much of locally owned business money is returned directly to the local economy. Many small and locally owned businesses pay a better wage than chains.”

FOMO, College Students, and Social Media

Younger minds may not have the disciplines to balance time with face-to-face social skills as noted in the Huff Post article linked below.

Inequality of broadband? Yes! The fix...

My vote - leverage or nation of libraries by:

  • Opening more libraries (especially in public housing areas)
  • Extending their hours
  • Maximizing WiFi availability
  • Wiring / Re-wiring libraries for mobile device power needs
  • Providing more desktops
  • Renting Chromebooks
  • Provide training, certifications
