How to Read the Room on Social Media

5 good tips:

  1. Be sure to treat each social media page differently - be more professional on LinkedIn, for example
  2. Write down a social media goal and statement and only post things that reflect that brand and you values
  3. Post just once a day on most sites.  More-frequent posts are OK on Twitter.
  4. Ask for permission before posting anything that shows or tags another person.
  5. If some it rude or profane on you page, delete the post immediately.

Google Just Made the Biggest Change in the Company’s History

Google is now a subsidiary of 'Alphabet'

http://time.com/3991647/google-alphabet/
What is Alphabet? Alphabet is mostly a collection of companies. The largest of which, of course, is Google. This newer Google is a bit slimmed down, with the companies that are pretty far afield of our main Internet products contained in Alphabet instead. What do we mean by far afield? Good examples are our health efforts: Life Sciences (that works on the glucose-sensing contact lens), and Calico (focused on longevity). Fundamentally, we believe this allows us more management scale, as we can run things independently that aren’t very related.

Are you still using LOL? Hahaha - don’t make me laugh…

How we laugh also depends on gender and where we live.

How do you laugh online?

Me, I'm still a basic 'haha' and 'lol' user.  :)
